Well, I read the entire lead, and I'm questioning my knowledge that we are in Uruguay here!
"but this was unsuccessful and similar manoeuvres by him were similarly unsuccessful." Sentence could use some work.
When was the race previously ran and discontinued?
"It was part of an alternate..." Unclear what "it" is anymore.
"second-placed Mahindra were another" We don't need this "another" here.
Clarify that 2015 was the most recent running of the race.
"On the Wednesday evening before the ePrix, a meeting was held between several drivers, Formula E Teams Association representative and Andretti team principal Roger Griffiths and officials from the FIA to discuss procedures of improving the safety of car switches during the mandatory pit stops following the communication of further clarifications and remainders to all teams and in response to an injury sustained by a mechanic working for Techeetah by driver André Lotterer in the preceding Mexico City ePrix." That sentence is just too long and confusing.
When was the Rome ePrix relative to this one?
"deranged his left-rear suspension" Is deranged the word you meant?
"made a minor driving error on the final lap." Source?
"in what was described as" Described by whom?
