Help?

[edit]

I am not sure how to make the logo from the Hebrew wikipedia page appear correctly in this article. Is it possible that some person can help? Perhaps User:Dweller (thanks for starting the article), for example? Thanks. --2604:2000:E016:A700:856B:DEDE:6228:51B0 (talk) 03:18, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Morocco has participated before so has Malta and Singapore I believe.

Here is my proof:

Morocco and some of the other nations as mentioned above have participated in the past, there are articles, sources etc to prove this. The person who wrote the article that you are citing must of made mistakes!! Thank you.. Dont belittle245 (talk) 21:44, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This is RS-supported. Read the RS article, that is already in this wp article. The RS is what matters. Read wp:original research. --2604:2000:E016:A700:4884:5FB7:2F71:3948 (talk) 05:40, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That makes no sense what matters RS or not. You are also refuting facts, I have evidence that Morocco as well as other teams have participated before in the Maccabiah, i have also displayed the proof here. Now i am requesting either that you remove your entry or at least make a note of what I wrote and presented on this article. Thank you.. Dont belittle245 (talk) 07:51, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I just watched the opening ceremony from the 2013 Maccabiah games and saw the Moroccan delegation, I recommend you do the same.. Dont belittle245 (talk) 08:04, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Read what I wrote and what I linked to. You may think that Wikipedia rules make no sense. But that is what we are bound to edit by. You have made your point, though I believe it is wrong, here, and anyone can read it here. Furthermore, marching in the march of nations is not in any case evidence of actually having competed - though of course it is likely, it is not certain and not indubitable. In any event, we follow RSs, not original research, as I pointed out in the above link. Wikipedia:No original research. It is even cited at the top of this very talk page, and every talk page. Please read it. 2604:2000:E016:A700:E1A2:A46:D0E5:8097 (talk) 11:08, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I will then find evidence of prior participation. Don't you worry and 2013 wasn't the first time they participated either you can trust me on that one. In any event I don't believe Cambodia or Trinidad are even participating this year, we shall see. Dont belittle245 (talk) 19:59, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

--2604:2000:E016:A700:C9B4:95C3:F2C4:D63A (talk) 17:46, 7 July 2017 (UTC)== I use the official source. ==[reply]

For example, Morocco is not a debutant. The country participated in the 2013 Maccabiah Games. Tomorrow is the opening of the Makkabiada. I will look at or participate in countries like Cambodia or Malta. Vietnam is really participating for the first time. Your source is a newspaper, and an unofficial website. Very strange. STUDENT57 (talk) 19:08, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Newspapers that are reliable sources are proper sources. That is what we rely on. See Wikipedia:No original research. "News reporting" from well-established news outlets is generally considered to be reliable for statements of fact. --2604:2000:E016:A700:6C0D:E230:F6E4:397E (talk) 07:05, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
See Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources your newspaper :) against my official source.

STUDENT57 (talk) 16:08, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The Bahamas, Cambodia, Haiti, Malta, the Philippines and Trinidad don't participate

let's wait to openig of Maccfbiah STUDENT57 (talk) 16:15, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The opening ceremonies do not reflect all participants -- see the article for example about the Israeli judo team not being there. "Israel's Judo team may miss Maccabiah Games after El Al flight delays". Just because the Israeli judo team (or others) are not in the opening ceremony does not mean that they will not participate in the event. Some competitors do not even compete until a week and a half after the opening ceremony. This is original research on your part. See Wikipedia:No original research. Get RS support. The RS now supports what is in the article. Original research is not allowed. And yours has an obvious logical flaw in any case. See also Wikipedia:Verifiability, not truth. 2604:2000:E016:A700:C9B4:95C3:F2C4:D63A (talk) 17:46, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Help? Tables.

[edit]

Perhaps someone can help?

And input the schedule and medal tables, such as we had for 2013 Maccabiah Games? --2604:2000:E016:A700:3D29:A4DE:58B0:3D8E (talk) 16:33, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in 2017 Maccabiah Games

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of 2017 Maccabiah Games's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "auto":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 02:40, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
