One Sarajevo

[edit]

References to the event have to this point listed Sarajevo and East Sarajevo as separate cities which is actually wrong. A city is looked upon as the built-up area and very often, individual cities may be occupied by different countries, not just internal subunits. The best known example is Rome, part of which forms the Vatican but is no less part of the city than the surrounding area. Sarajevo's modern division only goes back to the Dayton Accords of 1995 but the city long predates this (even if most of East Sarajevo is modern development). Also, even the main city within the Federation of BiH is divided into municipalities such as Novo Sarajevo and Stari Grad, like all former SFRJ capitals and larger cities. To observe the political situation, I have kept Istočno Sarajevo but have placed it in brackets including. beztraga (talk) 08:36, 12 July 2013 (UTC) Blocked sock:Evlekis.[reply]
