New kits

[edit]

What's with the strange kits uploaded on the page? The 17-18 kits haven't been confirmed nor released yet so how can we already have a code for them on the page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by UnknownBrick22 (talkcontribs) 21:52, 11 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

List of new transfers

[edit]

I see that the list of incoming summer transfers includes 7 players who have joined Chelsea's U-18s. Now, I don't know Wikipedia's policy on this (I would appreciate it if someone could tell me), but in my opinion we should not be including U-18 transfers on this page, simply because this article is about the first team. If we started including these obscure players, most of whom do not even meet the criteria for having their own article (due to the fact that they have never played a senior professional game), then imagine how bogged down the article would become. The actual senior players who have come into the Chelsea first team would be lost in the list of 17 and 18 year olds who are joining a level even lower than the U-23s. As an interesting fact, the Chelsea website's "New Signings" page only lists the 4 players (Caballero, Rudiger, Bakayoko, and Morata) who have joined the first team. Ok, so clearly my suggestion was not popular since, as soon as I made the change, it was reverted (without any communication on this talk page, which is strange). However, if ALL transfers must be listed in this article (as the user who reverted my edit said), then I have a suggestion to do this better. It would be much clearer if we separated the incoming transfers into 2 sections, first team arrivals and academy arrivals. That way, readers could instantly recognize the players who have joined the first team (who are by far the more recognizable and searched for players), and if readers are interested in the academy arrivals, they could refer to the section for academy arrivals. The 2017-18 Manchester City season page has something similar. King Philip V of Spain (talk) 16:27, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Loans out Winter

[edit]

Someone messed up the loans out by splitting it into summer and winter. I removed this and its all one table now. (See revs before mine for proof). Feel free to revert but get it right. brob (talk) 11:17, 29 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
