Redundant article. More descriptive title. TheCrazedBeast (talk) 01:15, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Obvious update: this was boldly done by User:Mz7. Appable (talk | contributions) 01:36, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for noting this, Appable. Per my comments below, I went ahead and boldly merged this in order to avoid confusion for our readers, as the subject of this article appears to be rapidly gaining attention in the news. I performed the merge in the proposed direction (2016 Mexico fireworks incident2016 San Pablito Market fireworks explosion) because I agreed that it was a more descriptive title. Mz7 (talk) 01:41, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

could we merge into mine?

[edit]

I hate to sound biased, but could we merge the other way around instead? Mine was created first. Please discuss, thank you. The brave celery (talk) 01:23, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No, I hear you. It looks like the merge was done this way because it was a more descriptive title. Also, my apologies for the duplicate—I searched but your article must have not been picked up yet. Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 01:26, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies as well. I agreed that it was a more descriptive title and boldly went for it to avoid confusion for our readers. Would a history merge be possible? Mz7 (talk) 01:27, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I concur that this was the best move. History merge is not possible because there is an edit history here and parallel edit histories make no sense, see [[Wikipedia:How to fix cut-and-paste moves#Parallel versions, unfortunately. Appable (talk | contributions) 01:35, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
