MSU has clinched the No. 2 seed at the Big Ten Tournament. MSU is now 13-5. If Wisconsin wins to get to 13-5, the teams went 1-1 head to head this season, and MSU went 1-0 against Indiana while Wisconsin went 1-1. MrArticleOne (talk) 19:10, 5 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you but that might stand if only Wisconsin and Michigan State finish the Big Ten season 13–5. However, if more than two teams finish tied different tiebreakers apply. See the 2016 Big Ten Tournament tiebreakers [1]. Thanks UW1941 (talk) 19:21, 5 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The other possibility is a 3-way tie between MSU, Wisconsin and Maryland. In that situation, the first tiebreaker is head-to-head within the group. MSU is 2-1, Wisconsin is 2-2, and Maryland is 1-2. So, with the win today MSU is the 2nd seed no matter how you slice it. MrArticleOne (talk) 20:07, 5 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The Ohio State loss also means that Michigan will definitely be the 8th seed. MrArticleOne (talk) 20:14, 5 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Prior to final game (3/6)

[edit]

Since other people are faster than me at editing this, the scenarios for tonight's game are: 3. WIS 4. UMD 6. PUR or 3. UMD 4. PUR 6. WIS. If you're faster than me, fill in the bracket accordingly. MrArticleOne (talk) 23:46, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
