EU citizenship?

[edit]

I'm not sure why EU citizenship is listed in the first team squad section, what purpose does this play as there is not a restriction on EU/Non-EU players? Also, there are a number of players who play for a Non-EU international side but are actually EU citizens, Bacuna, Gestede being the main ones. Also Gana and Sanchez have played in the EU for 7+ years and very likely have acquired EU citizenship. Please share comments on whether we can remove this column or at least have it corrected?
