MANY unsourced additions were made here to redlinkes pages on an early presumption they would be called. Furthemore they should be inline ref'd and per WP:BOLD and WP:BRD should be discussed BEFORE beign added back, regardless of whter an admin was to use diktats to add it the norms and conventions dont change. And what is the authoirity of IFES? nothign mentions its editorial policy.(Lihaas (talk) 23:13, 14 January 2012 (UTC)).[reply]

IFES. I can supplement it with regional authorities or news articles if you want. Also responded on your talk page. Nightw 14:39, 15 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Cool, can we? because that site seems to just list when its DUE not when its called/confirmed, esp since the articles dont exist.
And thanks for coming to talk ;)(Lihaas (talk) 18:24, 15 January 2012 (UTC)).[reply]
No problem, I'll work on it later today. Nightw 03:22, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
cool, will wait...currently it all links to the same dubious page though(Lihaas (talk) 20:27, 16 January 2012 (UTC)).[reply]
I'm done. Most of the later ones seem to be the date term ends, so they would be "by 2013" 's. Don't know whether it's worth keeping... Nightw 02:43, 18 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sub-National V National election items

[edit]

Just wondering do the entries for French Polynesia and Falkland Islands warrant entry in the local elections pages rather than national pages? After all, both are territories with a restricted amount of autonomy from their parent country?

I can understand referendums being part of this article but not regional elections. Any particular views welcome. Apologies if this question has been raised before, but I think it is always worth reviewing the situation. Freedom1968 (talk) 23:12, 8 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think pages like this uses List of countries. –HTD 18:21, 20 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Old format with results?

[edit]

Any chance we'd return to the old format last seen in Elections in 2005? –HTD 18:21, 20 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think it takes up way to much space and now that every election has it's own page it is not needed, it just makes the page look very cluttered Guyb123321 (talk) 22:29, 22 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Falkland Islands referendum

[edit]

The Falkland Islands sovereignty referendum, 2013 was recently removed from this page. However, general elections for dependent territories (including the Falklands) are included on theses pages, so why not referenda? --Philip Stevens (talk) 15:58, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Table?

[edit]

Why not like this:

Date Country Election Referendum
Head of state National legislature Subject
11-12 January Czech Republic Presidential (1st round)
20 January Austria Conscription
22 January Israel Legislative

Nature of article

[edit]

I see this article is not based on a primary source. So is it simply updated with each announcement by all editors or is there an external base from where we provide dates of elections? The Big Hoof! (talk) 18:34, 7 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
