Irish?
[edit]Why has Ireland been suddenly included? None of the other articles from 1960 to 2009 include Ireland. It's essentially about the UK Singles and Albums Charts. This page should follow the same format of the previous ones. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 14:45, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
Also I just noticed there is already 2010 in Irish music so definitely no need to include Ireland here. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 15:05, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- I was unaware of a previous page for British music when I regionalized the 2010 in music page. And since I am American, I understand that there are cultural differences between Ireland and the UK. I assumed that their music culture was similar. Perhaps, Ireland could be moved into the European page? It is just a suggestion. (Tigerghost (talk) 02:19, 31 December 2009 (UTC))
- I see. Well, there are articles for music years in Ireland since 2003 in Category:Irish music history by year so I don't see a need to group it in with the rest of Europe just for 2010 when there is a precedent. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 12:31, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
Merge?
[edit]I know this article shares a lineage with numerous other British music pages, but there is currently a debate on the primary 2010 in music page to merge this with it. I need help defending nation music pages. Any help would be appriciated before all of these pages are re-merged as a very US-centric view of global music. Please see Talk:2010 in music for the discussion.(Tigerghost (talk) 20:15, 13 January 2010 (UTC))
#1 singles
[edit]Please don't edit the #1 singles section into your own format, I will just change it back. Thank you. Theog101 (talk) 16:26, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
Sales Figures
[edit]What happened to the Sales figures which were in the final column of the Singles and Albums? I found them really really helpful Adamml13 (talk) 19:52, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
HTML
[edit]Would the person who continues to change the layout of the tables from wikicode to HTML please stop? Wikipedia uses wikicode, not HTML. Further changes will be considered vandalism. Thanks. AnemoneProjectors 19:54, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
Current top tens
[edit]Maybe a bit late in the year to be asking this but is this section necessary? All three charts are currently out of date and Wikipedia is WP:NOTNEWS. AnemoneProjectors 14:33, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
- Agreed. Have removed them for the time being as they were out of date again. Mhiji (talk) 21:20, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
Summary
[edit]I have renovated the "Summary" section to get rid of un-necessary information about chart positions which would be easier to find on the Official Charts website. 81.151.90.32 (talk) 19:18, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Now That's What I Call Music!
[edit]Is there a reason why Now That's What I Call Music! 77 (UK series) and Now That's What I Call Music! 76 (UK series), the #3 and #7 top selling albums in 2010 according to this, are not listed in the top selling albums list?
- Artist albums and compilation albums have their own separate charts – the OCC rarely mention the position a compilation album would have occupied in a combined chart, so without any official mention, it would be OR to produce a combined chart on Wikipedia.
