Starting XI discussion

[edit]

The Starting XI should be formed by the players that have started more games in the season in one specific position.

Starting XI

[edit]

The starting XI for Barcelona is as follow:

No.
Pos.
Nat.
Name
MS Notes
1 GK Spain V. Valdés 0
2 RB Brazil Dani Alves 0
3 CB Spain Piqué 0
5 CB Spain Puyol 0
22 LB France Abidal 0
16 DM Spain Sergio 0
6 CM Spain Xavi 0
8 CM Spain A. Iniesta 0
10 RW Argentina Messi 0
17 LW Spain Pedro 0
7 CF Spain David Villa 0

Should Carles Puyol be removed because he didn't start Round 1 due to injury when we know he is the starter? If that's the case then maybe every week will have a new starting lineup. La Fuzion (talk) 22:17, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The starting XI shouldn't even be listed as it is Original Research, unless there is a reference to the formation and players actually starting there this shouldn't be on the page. Tubby23 (talk) 03:33, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

La Liga clubs flagicon

[edit]

Why is the flagicons for La Liga clubs are not showing up? I tried adding the flagicon in the La Liga page, but that doesn't seem to do the trick. Can anyone fix it, or post some pointers here regarding the fix? Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 112.119.31.234 (talk) 14:41, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

-1 goal?

[edit]

I've noticed that here it says that barca start the Athletico game on -1, is this true, and if so, why? The C of E. God Save The Queen! (talk)

No need for more than 1

[edit]

Can the user who keeps adding two goal symbols whenever someone scores a brace stop please. It's unnecessary and just makes the article more bulky. I keep editing it down but someone keeps changing it back. PatoMilan (talk) 20:10, 24 October 2010 (UTC)PatoMilan[reply]

Why does it look "bulky"? I don't think it does and no one else has complaint. Why change it if it has not caused an issue? La Fuzion (talk) 13:54, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bojan appearances

[edit]

It's something ridiculous like over 100 appearances... that's not true. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 1.226.108.29 (talk) 02:39, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Negative goals for 'keepers?

[edit]

This is just pointless and misleading. What if, on the off chance, Valdés scored a goal? Would we add one to his -24 and get -23? Because that figure means nothing. I suggest we go back to settingtheir goal figures as 0. AlasdairShaw (talk) 12:40, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ligue matches

[edit]

In the ligue matches doesn't appear 27th, 28th and 29th matches. --Greetings!!!. Qban What's Up? 04:17, 19 November 2011 (UTC)Who[reply]

Ages (Specifically Players in / out)

[edit]

Hello. I don't really know how Wikipedia handles things like tables and ages and dates, but there appears to be some issues with the ages that are displaying on the Players in / out section of this article. According to the table, the age listed is the age on the date of the transfer. Alexander Hleb transferred to Birmingham City at age 34 in the summer of 2010, however at current time, the start of 2016, he is still only 34. The same can be said of Thierry Henry, who allegedly left the club in 2010 at age 38, but is still only 38 in 2016. It would seem the players of FC Barcelona are ageless, which considering how many trophies they won wouldn't not seem outright impossible, but it does seem highly unlikely. Interestingly, Jeffrén was promoted to the first team in 2010 at age 23, and is now almost 28 in 2016, so he would appear to be capable of aging (though seemingly only 5 years since summer 2010 date listed, which would be six years prior to him being 28 in 2016). So, I'm not sure what's going on, or how to fix it, but it does appear as though there is a number of incorrect things listed on this Wikipedia page, and that should likely be corrected. --Jermdeeks (talk) 01:29, 5 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Original Research

[edit]

Squad, appearances and goals Table contains minutes on pitch which is not source able and is original research, as does Squad information which again contains original research regarding EU. Table should be converted to one that is approved by WP:footy to remove this original research.Blethering Scot 21:34, 15 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Article Tables

[edit]

Per consensus at WP:Footy Here and Here and Here and many more in the archives I have removed the overall, Overview and result summary tables and assists all of which are either covered by other tables or elsewhere in the article and in addition not sourced. Assists are rarely sourceable and there is no definitive definition of an assist internationally.Blethering Scot 21:36, 15 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Copa del Rey quarter-finals

[edit]

I noticed that the Copa del Rey quarter-finals aren't in the article, it skips from the Round of 16 to the semi-finals. I don't know how to fix this I just thought I'd mention it. TheNeditor37291 (talk) 00:48, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
