Also going to take a look at this NASCAR article as well. The review should be up soon. good888 (talk) 19:53, 12 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Review is now complete. good888 (talk) 13:03, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Lead section

  • "Afterward, Reutimann took back the lead, holding it until Kenseth passed him on lap 47." First mention of Kenseth so link him please.
  • "Attendance was 176,300" I would suggest rewriting to: "176,300 people attended the race"
  • "ten points ahead of Ford, who bumped Dodge to third place" You mean they bumped Toyota to third place.

Report

  • "Tony Stewart, Kurt Busch, Kenseth, Bobby Labonte and Jeff Burton followed in the top ten" Suggest rewriting to: "Tony Stewart, Kurt Busch, Kenseth, Bobby Labonte and Jeff Burton rounded out the top ten"
  • "Martin was scored seventh" Rewrite to: "Martin placed seventh"
  • "and Mark Fredde gave the command for drivers to start their engines." You need to explain who Mark Fredde is.
  • "After pit stops, Biffle reclaimed the top position." Change top to first.
  • "On lap 226, Sam Hornish, Jr. spun, prompting the fourth caution; Labonte collided with the wall." Suggest rewriting to: On lap 226, Sam Hornish, Jr. spun and Labonte collided with the wall, prompting the fourth caution"
  • "Johnson was happy with the result, saying, "It was nice to get our car up front and get some clean air on it. We had to work really hard all day long to keep the car right. I'm very proud of the team." "Jeff Gordon was delighted with his victory: "Incredible team effort. This whole year has been amazing. What a great car. I've never had a car like this at Texas. We finally had one and put it in position." I would suggest swapping these two sentences around.
