Schedule table section headers

[edit]

Twice I have removed three headers from the CFB Schedule Entry template-generated schedule table. The added headers were for (1) non-conference games, (2) conference games and (3) bowl game. These headers are not included in the primary template for yearly college football pages, and are thus not standard, nor required. Furthermore, all three game types are already indicated by elements included in the CFB Schedule Entry template. Non-conference games are indicated with an asterisk after the date, automatically inserted by the Template by design when the flag is set to yes (| nonconf = yes). Conference games are then logically indicated by the lack of the asterisk when that field is left blank. The bowl game is identified when the Game Name attribute (| gamename = ) is filled in with the name (and wikilink) of the bowl game. Finally, it is also worth noting that if a team's seasonal non-conference games are not scheduled in a single block, the games listed schedule display will either be shown out of chronological order, or the table will have repeating table header names as the conference and non-conference slates flop back and forth. To sum up, the headers are non-standard, are redundant to information already provided through the template, and are thus unnecessary. Fjbfour (talk) 10:54, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
