Goal scoring

[edit]

Why is there two tables for goalscoring? There is a statistics table, which features the goals scored by a player, and a goalscoring table, which is self-explanatory. Digirami (talk) 02:22, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is a second table because it shows the total of who has scored goals in order and also is sortable to see who has scored the most Cup or European goals. Tubby23 (talk) 05:16, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

First Eleven

[edit]

The statistics in the table are not correct. For one Bilyaletdinov has not started 16 games for Everton and many other players have been credited with to many games. For the moment I will delete it because it is incorrect and will fix it and put it back. Tubby23 (talk) 20:52, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Have replaced now so should be fine Tubby23 (talk) 21:49, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed this as it's not very clear since Everton don't start every game with the same formation. Dancarney (talk) 16:46, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
They start with a 4-4-2 in a high percentage of games. The second striker is just a little sunken so it could be seen as a 4-4-1-1. These statistics are still valid and correct. Tubby23 (talk) 00:16, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I still find that the info provided is misleading, and doesn't add anything to the article. Without a cited source to state that majority of games start with a 4-4-2 this is also original research. Dancarney (talk) 10:00, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I note that another editor has made a change to this section, noting that Heitinga and Hibbert have made the same number of starts. How do you decide who to include? Except, of course, that you shouldn't be making that kind of decision as it constitutes original research. Dancarney (talk) 09:37, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You decide who goes in not by original research but by the fact that whoever has played the most games goes in which is simple maths and counting. Tubby23 (talk) 23:58, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Surely the statements currently included about putting Fellaini as a forward and not including Heitinga (who has started the same number of games as Hibbert) are OR? Dancarney (talk) 01:17, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The Heitinga one is not because it is just maths and the fact that Hibbert played more games first so was already on the table. Fellaini maybe. It has been removed anyway but then shouldn't the same table on Tottenham Hotspur F.C. season 2009-10 also be removed. Tubby23 (talk) 22:10, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the section because it was unsourced in the sense that the source gave starts and substitutions but not where those starts were made. If there is a reliable source that shows number of starts per player per position then I have no problem with the inclusion of the table/chart/field formation image. If that information isn't available from a reliable source then it constitutes WP:OR. I'd like to get this article up to at least GA status, and something like that would have been deleted anyway. JohnnyPolo24 (talk) 11:51, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I realised later that I was misreading the WP:OR, sorry Tubby23 (talk) 02:43, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Monthly Prose

[edit]

Is there anyone who has the time to do the last couple of months I would do it but I know I don't write it very clearly. If one of you wants me to write it put it inand then you can edit it how you would do it I will. Tubby23 (talk) 02:44, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I did most of the prose of what's there already, but it takes some time and I just haven't gotten back to it. I'll see what I can do, but anyone else should feel free to do it. JohnnyPolo24 (talk) 13:44, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OK thanks Tubby23 (talk) 04:25, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just thought I would let anyone who was planning on doing more of the monthly prose that I have done March and what has been of April so far but I will write up February's soon and will then put it in when I have it all done. Unless someone already has done it and wants to put it in. Tubby23 (talk) 11:19, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Statistics

[edit]

Players like Jake Bidwell, Adam Forshaw etc, did not need to be removed from the statistics just because they are lesser known. They played a game for the club and therefore if they are not in the statistics the page will be incorrect. I will add them back in later but do not apprecite the non-member/user who did this. Please do no do it again once I have fixed it. Tubby23 (talk) 04:26, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is now fixed Tubby23 (talk) 01:30, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Photographs

[edit]

I've just added three photos of players in the 2009–10 kits, but it would be great if we could add at least one of someone in the pink and black away strips and possibly even the purple third kits. To anyone who attends a match: take pictures! Let's get this article up to FA-class after the season! We could be the first season article to achieve it! JohnnyPolo24 (talk) 15:57, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Awards

[edit]

Are the end of year awards that were given out last night notable enough to be placed in the article? Tubby23 (talk) 02:42, 5 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Team awards? Yeah. There ought to be a section that wraps up the season and that information would go well there. We need to get cracking on the season prose. I'm pretty sure that I've got the FA Cup, League Cup, & Europa League sections completed. Unfortunately, the Premier League prose is still in January... JohnnyPolo24 (talk) 11:57, 5 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I will put in the season awards now. Tubby23 (talk) 01:14, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Aston Villa

[edit]

Small detail, but whoever is doing the main structure of the page need to realise the city/town for Aston Villa is Birmingham, not Aston. Aston, like Everton, is a district in that city. God help us if Everton did move outside the boundary with this type of frivolity. Babydoll9799 (talk) 19:37, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
