GA Review

[edit]
This review is transcluded from Talk:2007 USC Trojans football team/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

I'm putting this article On Hold because there doesn't seem to be any tags on the pictures in the At Oregon section! Other than that, everything checks out:

1.organized, flows well
2.reliable refs
3.relevant
4.NPOV
5.stable
6.pictures do not all have tags

Below are some of my recommendations/ideas for any FA nom:

  • I changed all of the section headings that began with "at" (example: at Nebraska, at Washington) to At Nebraska, etc. I hope this is correct. <:)
  • Make sure you have non-breaking hyphens.
  • Make sure the fair use rationale for the picture of Mario Danelo is all correct.
  • I don't understand this sentence in At Nebraska, but I think that's just me:

Callahan had been criticized for his conservative play-calling during the 2006 game in Los Angeles, where it appeared the Huskers were playing to not get blown out by the Trojans rather try for an upset victory.

  • Also in At Nebraska: "Keller spent 2006 on the Huskers on the scout team, as per NCAA transfer rules." (use "on" once if possible).
  • You have a hanging "The" in the first sentence in Oregon State
Oregon Pictures do have "CC-By-SA-2.5" listed under permission. I will make sure they have tag from the others (since I took virtually all the photos). --Bobak (talk) 22:24, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
EDIT: Fixed Oregon tags; I've also fixed the beginning of the OSU section and tried rewriting the confusing sentences in the At Nebraska section. --Bobak (talk) 22:33, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Update

Okay great! I saw that they had the "CC-By-SA-2.5", but I just wanted to make sure they had tags so no one yelled at me! (I've been yelled at quite a few times while doing GA noms). I looked through the peer reviews, and, as far as I can tell, you've done everything that needed to be done! Congrats! I didn't check all of your refs, so you might want to make sure none of them are dead before you go for FA, and that it's not too long, but I think that this is FA material (if anyone can read all the way through it!) I'm going to promote this to GA status now. Thanks for your speedy work. Intothewoods29 (talk) 22:47, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent! I spent the better part of 2 weeks checking all 240+ citation links and updating them, so they're good! --Bobak (talk)

FA Status!

Thanks to everyone who helped by offering input, making corrections and generally aiding this 162 kilobyte gorilla become one of the largest FAs out there. --Bobak (talk) 20:21, 7 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For the record, at this time this is the 120th longest article on Wikipedia; 2005 Texas was 252nd. --Bobak (talk) 22:22, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
