Final 16 as opposed to Quarters

[edit]

Hey, I'd like to add the Final 16s to this main page. I know that the past Slams have used just the finals, as well as the quarters in the "Finals" section on the respective Men's and Women's pages. I think it's nice to merge the brackets sooner to have a better image of the overall tourney, as well as to see a portion of both men's and women's brackets in one place. I know it's different than in Slams past, but it's just a suggestion. :) Captain Courageous 12:31, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Section titles and content

[edit]

Please note that Wikipedia is not a tabloid. Please report on tennis foremost, then weather and politics secondly. 58.178.97.116 01:50, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have been doing the "live scores" at the end of games. Sorry if i am stepping/encroaching on anyone. I'm bored at home... P.S. Can whoever made the bracket please tell me either where they got the template or how to make one! Thanks Mage71390 00:42, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mage71390 -- I generated most of the tennis brackets with a Perl script. Let me know if you want a copy. --dantheox 02:50, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That would be wonderful! Mage71390 04:37, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Controversies

[edit]

Is this section really necessary? It seems like dwelling on the negative to me. Do we need every arrest or incident at every slam preserved on this site? I could think of ten more "controversies" but I think they have no place here.

News for first week only

[edit]

Why hasn't the second week been covered in all AO 2007 articles. It all looks so incomplete. I know it takes a long time but surely it would be easier to do as the week progressed as there are fewer matches? --TheTallOne 23:01, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
