Australia V Uruguay inclusion

The Australia vs Uruguay game should be excluded because it was not an official international and hence regarded as a B game with players from neither team getting capped.

Before you post here, perhaps you should read how to, on the talk page guidelines.

Regarding your post, can you provide a source to back-up the fact that this was a "B game"? If you're only stating this because of the Matthew Spiranovic situation, where even if he played the match he wouldn't be officially tied to Australia, then I'll point out that FIFA doesn't consider a player tied to any country until he has competed in an official competition match (ie. the Asian Cup, the World Cup etc.). But that doesn't mean that this match wasn't an "official international". And, at least to my knowledge, the FFA still assigned caps to the Australian players who played in this match.

But regardless of any of this, any match played under the banner of the national team would still be included on this page. Blackjanedavey 17:14, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Wilkshires Asian Cup cards

Formation SVGs

How are the formation SVGs made? Can someone explain to me. I'm interested in making some for some A-League games.Jared Wiltshire 04:51, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Ok. The procedure's pretty easy once you get the hang of it. First you have to download Inkscape (Here). Then just save any one of the .svg images I've uploaded onto Wikipedia, onto your computer. Then open the image you saved with Inkscape. Once it's opened you can edit the image according to the formation you want and the team colours, using the tools in Inkscape. It's quite time consuming to move the shirts around and line them up properly, so if you want a certain formation it's easier to just find one of my images that has the same formation and just simply change the names and colours.
The next step is obviously to save the image. Then make an account in Wikimedia Commons and then go here to upload the image. Click on "my own work" , then on the next page scroll down and click the Browse button to upload the image from your computer. Then fill in the description and date in the Summary part. For Licensing choose "Own work, copyleft GFDL & CC-BY-SA-2.5)". Then click Upload File and your done. Make sure you change the size of the image according to how big you want it on your Wikipedia page. I have mine at 300px. Anything smaller, I think, you can't really make out the names.
One little tip, make sure you have the image exactly the way you want it before you upload it onto Wikipedia. Cos it's a pain to delete the first image and have to upload again.
