Nothing

[edit]
I'm surprised at the lack of coverage of this event. Compare this with the World Cup for example. Skinnyweed 23:21, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You have to keep in mind, the World Cup (as you mentioned) is on this year; and the BBC is trying to up the coverage by showing 5 matches at a time on BBCi. They've got the problem of the World Cup this year, which is probably why the coverage seems scarce. I'm sure next year and years after it, Wimbledon will be on a lot more frequently; the hype is really getting going. Finally, don't forget it's been a day of rain today. Not handy, but expected... Serbia and Montenegro

[edit]

Can someone explain why players of Serbia, and Montenegro still play under the union of Serbia and Montenegro? In the French Open, I can understand since the referendum took place at around the same time--as well as in the World Cup, when the team qualified for the tournament before the referendum. This is also the same in the upcoming Miss Universe pageant, when the representative was named befor the referendum. But how come "SCG" still appears as the country of players like Ivanovic, Jankovic, etc.? I am not sure about how the entry system goes in tennis tournaments... Is it something like a player has to decide which tournament he/she will enter at the end of the year (for next year) and submit his/her schedule to the ATP/WTA, so they can be gain a spot in the draw, provided their rankings are high enough? If that is the case, then we'll be saying "SCG" as their country until the end of 2006. Or players just inform them a month, or even several weeks in advance that they intend to join? Then again, this is Wimbledon--a Grand Slam--so likely, it is the case of the former, since it is "mandatory" for players to join... --Joey80 03:24, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
