NPOV and confusing

[edit]

I have attached a {{NPOV}} tag to this article because it seems to me that previous contributors to the article may have been more sympathetic to the Green candidate than the other two mayoral candidates. Note that Gayle McLaughlin gets a full list of endorsements here, whereas for Gary Bell no endorsements are listed, and the reference to a page of his own turns out to be a page about former baseball player Gary Bell instead. There are two external links to McLaughlin's campaign web site, one to Anderson's official page on the city web site (not a campaign site), and none to Bell's web site.

Furthermore, Measure T is described as supported by "the local police and neighborhood councils" while it is opposed by "industry titan Chevron". This sounds like a biased description of the measure's advocates and opponents.

The description of Measure T is also {{confusing}} because it refers to "a 1/8% manufacturing tax" (1/8% of what?) and changing the taxation of rental units "from 247$ annual fee to a 35%-90$ per unit scheme". Is that 35% minus 90 dollars, or 35% to 90 dollars, or something else? --Metropolitan90 05:11, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I know Anderson and Bell did not put up campaign websites, I did a web search, Perhaps the Green got more coverage because she is more popular or interesting to the contributors who went on here, or becuase she does have a preferance online, I ment no bias whilst writing this article. I ill try to be more clear and change Industry Titan Chevron to the Council of Industries and Council of Concerns Citizens (Almost Entirely Funded by Chevron). It is a 1/8% tax on Manufacturing Materials Purchased that are used in manufacturing.Qrc2006 00:28, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
