- Originally read "The Danube river was at its peak 859cm (28 ft 2 in) high in some areas, surpassing the 860cm high in 2002."
- This made no sense, so Firien changed to "The Danube river was at its peak 859cm (28 ft 2 in) high in some areas, near to the 860cm high in 2002. {citationneeded} <!- citation tag added as before this edit 2006 peak was given as 859, *higher* than the 2002 peak of 860; either the 2006, the 2002, or the higher, was a mistype. Changed the higher to 'near to' for the moment since the 2002 article doesn't detail peak Danube depth; hopefully someone knows where these figures come from and can correct the first line here if necessary, and remove the citation tag and this comment :) ->
- Sicboy changed to The Danube river was at its peak 865 cm (28 ft 4 in) high in Budapest, higher than the previous record of 848 cm in 2002. {citationneeded} <!- I found no citation, however I live a half km away from the Danube (in the 32000 figure), so we always know the numbers :) However check this article http://index.hu/politika/bulvar/arhely060404/ (if you speak Hungarian), when it was over 860 and still flooding->
- I now believe the information to be sensible, even if the source is technically original research; however as a current event and with clearer figures this section only needs as much citation as the entire article. I am removing the citation tag and archiving the comments here. --User:Firien § 09:24, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
