The 'Overview' Section

[edit]

Does Wigan's performance in the Premiership really merit inclusion. Nothing against them but it smacks of partisanship as it is hardly one of the highlights of the year from a NPOV Barfbagger 11:59, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As a neutral, I would say that Wigan's achievement definitely merits inclusion: they were relegated by the bookies and pundits from the moment they were promoted from the Championship - that they stayed up (and by some margin) is undeniably a highlight of the season.

The 'Events' Section

[edit]

This section mostly seems to reference only the FA Premier League and the English national team, despite the title of the article being "2005-06 in english football". None of the lower league occurances are mentioned, so perhaps it should be changed so that they are, or if not at least some sort of note should be added to indicate that it is only the larger and more publicised events of english football. I don't think consensus was reached. Kingjeff 03:14, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There was no relevant content, all off it was on here anyway. Gran2 08:20, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've started a WikiProject for each individual Football League system. If anyone is interested, you can sign up here Kingjeff 19:29, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The 'European Qualification' Section

[edit]

Think it has merit - but wonder why it doesn't appear on most season's wikipages. Can't be put on Premier League page because occasionally a non-EPL side will sneak one (eg. Millwall) through the FA/Carling Cups. Is there a consensus about this? 60.226.133.172 12:42, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
