The related section is currently kinda pointless. Just being in Iran isn't "related". Besides, there is a aviation incidents in Iran category automatically built in to Wikipedia, making a list of Iranian crashes here unnecessary. How about crashes of similar planes? Or crashes with similarly unknown causes? Or crashes in countries who aren't open about their investigations?

Inadequate maintenance has been cited as the most probable cause of the crash. Iranian air traffic has a poor safety record for this reason, owing in part to sanctions against Iran (preventing the trade of aircraft parts and skilled labor). The link can stay deleted, however - the link is tenuous and may prove confusing to casual readers. Andyo2000 (talk) 04:47, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ASN

[edit]

Hello, The ASN Database says "only" 275 victims for this plane crash. I really think that 302 fatalities was a first "estimation" and that 275 is the really death toll.

See this link: http://aviation-safety.net/database/record.php?id=20030219-0? --81.64.145.249 (talk) 14:33, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Death toll

[edit]

Are there any sources that state hat the death toll was downgraded from 302 to 275? I cannot find any. I think a range should be added. Beejsterb (talk) 07:14, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
