Stop the nonesense

[edit]

An appeal hearing WAS held on June 17. The decision was annouced July 3rd. Stop reverting the edits with biased point of view. Tracy lost the race, in an unfortunate turn of events, no one wanted the race to end that way, but it did. Castroneves is the rightful winner. Doctorindy (talk) 02:27, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Expansion

I'm going to work on expanding this page...it needs it a lot. Doctorindy (talk) 02:29, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Identically painted cars

[edit]

I reverted the edit which deleted the mention that Tracy's and Franchitti's cars were painted nearly identical. This fact is significant because it caused some of the confusion. On multiple occasions (see the notations), Franchitti was mis-identified as Tracy (because the cars looked alike). Also, it caused further confusion at the finish. When Castroneves crossed the finish line and took the checkered flag, Franchitti was immediately behind him. He was mis-identified by many as Tracy (especially on TV), mis-leading the viewers who did not know where Tracy was. No mention was ever made on TV that Tracy was actually 19 seconds ahead. Ok, I didn't know that. Now I agree that the text is relevant. But then you should add to the article what you explained to me here, or readers will feel the same I did before. Good bye! --NaBUru38 (talk) 15:02, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, I don't think it was made clear enough in the mention in the first paragraph. It isn't made clear until further down. I'll take a look at adding some more clarity. Thanks. Doctorindy (talk) 13:39, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
