Reviewer: TeacherA (talk · contribs) 02:54, 14 May 2012 (UTC) Very good start.
Consider a complete re-write describing the district, background, issues, any debates, etc.
Do not be discourage. Rethink everything.
For example, look at this paragraph.
This election humbled Obama, and taught him political lessons that he used in his future political victories. Obama was elected to the United States Senate in 2004. He was then elected President of the United States in 2008.
Why is it here? It looks like filler.
You can do it! I would do it for you but that is not the role of the reviewer. TeacherA (talk) 02:54, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
- Hi. The paragraph about humbling Obama to me seems relevant in the context of his entire career. Perhaps it needs more sourcing in the body, though I feel the "Aftermath" section covers it (the first paragraph, I mean. I didn't write the second, and only just noticed its presence). I agree that the district can be expanded upon, and I will give news archives a look in the next few days. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:03, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
I must say that effort has been put into this article. However, I must also say that 4-5 paragraphs of the election does not make a good article in this case. However, I will not say "GA failed". Instead, I will come back in approximately 3-4 weeks to review. One way to do it is to really study what the issues were in the election and also consider (as research, but not original research) what issues were important nationally in 2000 and how this compared with this election. You don't have to write a comparison but this will aid in the thinking process. TeacherA (talk) 03:01, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
Closing comment: As TeacherA has been banned from GA reviewing, I'm sending this back into the reviewing pool. A backlog drive is beginning on June 15, so it will likely be chosen for review in the course of the month-long drive. BlueMoonset (talk) 21:53, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
