Updates

[edit]

Has there been any mention of that feasiblity study since that Balt Sun article last year? Just curious. ccwaters 14:40, 30 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Table

[edit]

This table should be written in wiki markup, and something needs to be done about the fact that the text runs right up to the edge...makes it very difficult to read, and more than a little distracting. bcatt 05:50, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Naming Rights

[edit]

"It was reported that 1st Mariner Bank will need to pay the city $75,000 for the next ten years to keep the naming rights to the Baltimore Arena."

Is that $75K a year or $75K for the whole ten years? Either way, it isn't very much. 4.243.152.18 02:13, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Christina Aguilera

[edit]

Christina Aguilera's concert tour of 2006 and 2007 wasn't taped for the DVD. The name of the DVD is "Back to Basics: Live and Down Under". As far as I can remember, 'Down Under' means Australia and not Maryland, USA[1] The concerts were taped in Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Adelaide and Acer Arena in Sydney both. Look at the back of the DVD, please! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.167.76.74 (talkcontribs) 21:52, 20 May 2009

The result of the proposal was moved. This appears uncontroversial, so I'm closing in the interests of backlog maintenance. Feel free to contact me with concerns. --BDD (talk) 20:23, 20 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 7 March 2022

No consensus to move. After much-extended time for discussion, there is no consensus for a move at this time. Happily, however, this is a fluid situation, and there will likely be news reporting in the relatively short term more clearly announcing a name change. Local news stations do love reporting on local naming issues. BD2412 T 04:02, 5 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Royal Farms ArenaBaltimore Arena – Social media for the arena yesterday scrubbed the name of the "Chicken Box" from PFPs, header images etc. It is reasonable to conclude the naming rights deal has ended with the arena's closure for renovation. However, I'm not aware of a local news article to that effect. Aresef (talk) 04:29, 7 March 2022 (UTC) — Relisting.  — Amakuru (talk) 10:23, 15 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Support move, provided that evidence exists for the rights deal's expiry. O.N.R. (talk) 07:16, 7 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
There's a story from BBJ now that refers to it as Baltimore Arena.Aresef (talk) 22:14, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
