How come all I've ever heard about what started the whole incident was that Geoff Bodine tried to move down to get in front of Bill Elliot and hit him because he went too soon? That's not what happened at all. On the restart, even the announcers pointed out the fact that Dale Earnhardt was pushing Bodine from directly behind him. Watch the race, available on youtube. You can clearly see that Earnhardt hit him the last time in the left of the rear bumper and this sent him spinning out of control into Elliot's side, allowing Earnhardt to take the lead while those two spun out. Whether he did it intentionally or not, I can't say. But he clearly caused the accident. Why are so many fans so biased for "The Intimidator?" He took a lot of drivers out intentionally during his career. That's why I always called him "The Crashinator." There will probably be people along shortly to voice their displeasure about what I've pointed out, but that will only prove that I was correct in my assessment. Watch the end of the race again without any preconceived notions and you'll see.HaarFager (talk) 11:06, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
