Skol Cop vs Dundee

[edit]

The score is down as 2-0 to Dundee, but Iain Ferguson is listed as scoring for United so there seems to be an error here. Dunarc (talk) 22:47, 19 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Alan Irvines

[edit]

The fact that United had two players called Alan Irvine (Alan Irvine (footballer, born 1958) and Alan Irvine (footballer, born 1962)) is obviously bound to cause a bit of confusion. The article just calls each Alan Irvine, but although it links to each player's correct article, a quick reading can be confusing - eg in the transfer section of the article you would not know which is being referred to without following the link. I wonder therefore if including initials would help. Alan Irvine (footballer, born 1962) is Alan James Irvine so could be listed as Alan J. Irvine and Alan Irvine (footballer, born 1958) is actually James Alan Irvine so could be listed as J. Alan Irvine. I wonder what other people think of this as a solution?
