This article declares that the Tennessee Volunteers were the sole 1951 National Champion. This is disputed. Note: Maryland Football Wikipedia Page declares Maryland as 1951 National Champions. Moreover, The Maryland Terrapins defeated the Tennessee Volunteers in their assigned Bowl Game & the Maryland Terrapins claim at least a share of the National Title. The University of Maryland does not claim the 1951 national championship, although some selectors listed in the NCAA record book did award the title to Maryland (or Michigan State). This is reflected in the article, so I removed the POV banner. Strikehold (talk) 21:22, 18 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
