As you can currently see in the notice box above, this article was nominated for deletion on 4 Sept. 2010. I'm thrilled to report that 11 editors stood up to support keeping this article, versus zero editors who agreed with the deletion nomination. Support for keeping the article was so overwhelming in fact, that debate on the topic was ended in less than 16 hours (so quickly in fact, no WP:CARDS members had a chance to express their views on the nomination). On behalf of WikiProject St. Louis Cardinals, I reiterate that we will never waiver from our mission to, "record, preserve, and organize the history of the St. Louis Cardinals and that of all articles related to the team on Wikipedia." I formally denounce this article's deletion nomination, and let it be known that WikiProject St. Louis Cardinals will vehemently oppose any other attempts to remove factual and relevant info about the team that meets the notability guidelines established by our parent project, WikiProject Baseball. If you really want to stop these nominations, start filling up some of these season articles. Google News archives alone can make that task very easy. Wknight94talk14:07, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
