Results discrepancy
[edit]The URL for the election results document cited has changed. It now appears at [[1]]
Also, the data in that file differs significantly to the data on this page. For example, it lists Bury defeating Knott in a two-candidate race, whereas the Wikipedia page has Bury placing first in a six-person race. The vote totals also do not match.
Clearly, either the city archives or you have your numbers wrong.

- I just had a look at the Edmonton Bulletin from December 14, 1926, and what appears to be happening is that the Wikipedia article is giving first ballot results, while the city's site gives results after redistribution (which is why several of the victorious candidates have the same number of votes). The Bulletin confirms that there were six candidates for mayor, however; it's just that only two had any votes after redistribution took place. Sarcasticidealist (talk) 22:25, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
