- New enough, long enough. The passage "an increase in wages, the dismissal of an overseer they accused of sexual harassment, the abolition of fines for workers, and workers’ representation on an arbitration committee" appears twice in the prose. In the second instance, it's not given as a direct quote and that's therefore a copy-violation; this needs fixing. Earwig's Copyvio Detector is otherwise happy. Namiba has 11 DYKs to their credit (according to DYK notices, or 24 DYKs according to their user page) and a QPQ is therefore required but missing as yet. Both hooks check out. I find the original hook (ALT0) more interesting. Schwede66 19:22, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
- I've removed the repeated text and added a bit of context regarding the politics of the IWW. As for how many DYK's I've contributed to, I think the correct number is actually 28, but I haven't written any since 2011 so it's impossible to recall.--User:Namiba 19:48, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
- I see. A new rule since then is that you have to review another DYK as part of nominating your own; that's what "QPQ" (quid pro quo) refers to. Schwede66 19:58, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
- Namiba, do you plan on continuing with this nomination? It's been over three weeks since the above exchange. There are resources available on conducting a DYK review, if you need assistance; most of them are available as links in the box at the top of this page when you're in the editor. Please let us know your plans. Many thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 00:52, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
- The nominator does not appear to be editing since that last post. Marking for closure as unsuccessful. Yoninah (talk) 20:43, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
- My apologies, I forgot to respond here. I do plan to continue with the nomination. I will complete a DYK review over the weekend.--User:Namiba 12:44, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
- Superseding prior icon with this one pending the promised QPQ review. BlueMoonset (talk) 16:12, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
- We've had two weekends in the meantime and still no action. Schwede66 03:05, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
