Victory for the Catholic party?

How can this election be called a victory for the Catholic party when it lost many seats and the absolute majority in Parliament? The victors in this election were the Liberal and Labour parties who won seats. --Maxl (talk) 10:14, 6 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Because (a) the party still won the most seats, and (b) more importantly it remained the governing party under Paul de Smet de Naeyer. Number 57 10:36, 6 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
