Redirect to St. Louis Cardinals
[edit]Why does St. Louis Browns here redirect to the St. Louis Cardinals article? The Browns moved to Baltimore and are now the Orioles. The redirect should go there. Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 22:36, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
- If you had read the Cardinals article you'd know the answer. There were two different teams called the St. Louis Browns. The first existed from 1883 until 1898. They changed their name to the Perfectos in 1899, and then the Cardinals in 1900. The American League team took the Browns name after moving to St. Louis from Milwaukee in 1902. That is the team that went on to become the Orioles. -Dewelar (talk) 23:27, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you. That explains it. :) Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 23:34, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
