War on Terror

[edit]

The War on Terror is a U.S. declared war. It's ridiculous to call it an international war.

A source also needs to be cited if the National Guard units truly are getting better equipment and training. There have been newspaper articles that suggest otherwise.

Rename

[edit]

I propose that this article be renamed to 126th Cavalry Regiment (United States). The new name would reflect the current status of the unit, and all of the information currently in the article would be easily integrated into a History section of the article. --Zharmad (talk) 23:29, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Seems reasonable, but it should be under the official name of the unit. Has the name of the unit be changed or is it still called the 126th Infantry? --Patar knight - chat/contributions 02:15, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The current official name is 1 Squadron, 126th Cavalry Regiment. The current commander is LTC Barrett, and the current CSM is CSM White. [1] Zharmad (talk) 20:25, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Then move it to that page and add in information about the CO and the CSM. Also, put that link down as a source. No point in having this information under the wrong name. Go for it! --Patar knight - chat/contributions 21:17, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page moved, it still needs a little cleanup, which I plan on working on tomorrow night. Thanks for the input! Zharmad (talk) 22:50, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. No Problem. :) --Patar knight - chat/contributions 23:12, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, but spell "armored" as would be spelled in the Unites States (not armoured). Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.205.92.11 (talk) 14:34, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of 126th Cavalry Regiment (United States)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 00:59, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
