Huh?

[edit]

This article states: "This prompted the Texas Governor Rick Perry to assign the newly acquired MQ-1 Predator reconnaissance mission to the 147th Wing." Really? Govenors assign equipment to units? Me thinks the Air Force does this - a governor might lobby the Air Force (more likely the President) to make a decision one way or another (most likely to save jobs if the Air Force is planning a change that will reduce the unit's personnel complement, not because he wants the unit to operate a specific type of equipment or perform a specific mission - it's doubtful he'd even recognize an F-16 if he saw on) but assign equipment? Don't think so. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.51.66.32 (talk) 01:09, 26 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
