The write-up looks like a verbatim lift from http://www.history.army.mil/lineage/cc/103id.htm and could use re-write/paraphasing. That web page is a reproduction of part of a U S Army report, as noted at the bottom of that web page: These combat chronicles, current as of October 1948, are reproduced from The Army Almanac: A Book of Facts Concerning the Army of the United States, U.S. Government Printing Office, 1950, pp. 510-592. I believe I have a copy of the division's book, Report after Action, The Story of the 103d Infantry Division; by Ralph Mueller and Jerry Turk, unit historians; Wagner'sche Universitats-Buchdruckerie, Innsbruck, Tyrol, Austria; distributor, The Infantry Journal, Washington 6, D. Published historian and literary critic Paul Fussell served as an infantry Second Lieutenant in the 103rd Division during World War II.
Tony Hillerman served as a Mortarman during World War II. He was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

Moved German-language Website Reference

Moved this cite from the article as it does not refer to the 103rd Div., but instead to the 761st Tank Battalion: [http://www.omaha-beach.org/Deutsche-Version/Landau/761st/761st_Tank_Battalion.html German site / Deutsche Seite über die 103 US Infanterie Divisionin der Pfalz] .
