Fraction markup

[edit]

@66.82.144.143 and Evan1975: Greetings! Not sure if you are the same person, but regarding this edit this revert, what's the reason you prefer ½ as a single Unicode character? MOS:FRAC says "Do not use precomposed fraction characters such as ½" except in chess articles, and {{frac}} is generally preferred outside science and math articles. This entry appears to be talking about the fraction one-half generally, and not specifically about the Unicode character? ½ redirects directly to one half. -- Beland (talk) 22:21, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

MOS:FRAC now allows the use of ½ generally. -- Beland (talk) 02:15, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
