62nd
[edit]This infobox has an entry for the order of people holding the office. It is not required that his title actually includes "62nd", its enough that he really is the 62nd person in office as "Mayor" of Split (after the Venetian podestàs, of course, and not counting the WWII Italian occupation). Now, I don't understand what you mean by "source"? You can count them all here on Wiki... Have a look at the Milan Bandić article. --DIREKTOR (TALK) 21:59, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- We have an official source for the mayors of Zagreb: [1]. This list includes the World War II mayors and makes no differentiation between them, regardless of your personal opinion. I have also seen an official list of Karlovac's mayors which does the same. Your list of mayors of Split on Wikipedia has no source, and is not in itself a valid reference. I don't particularly care if the World War II mayors are counted as official or not, but you have not provided any source either way. Therefore, it is not magically clear to me or anyone else that just because you say the WWII mayors aren't counted that it must be true. It's not particularly obvious, especially when other cities have different conventions.--Thewanderer (talk) 22:50, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- I see, so the problem is that you do not think the list on List of mayors of Split is real? It took me quite a while to compile it from various different sources I have at home. I'll see about posting a reference. In the meantime, let me assure you: it is real. It is not fictional. I hope you won't make an issue out of the WWII numbers, as I cannot see the Italian occupation given such "recognition", as it were, regardless of what the Zagreb website may or may not do. In addition, Zagreb.hr does not number the list of mayors, therefore it does not establish any "convention" in that respect. --DIREKTOR (TALK) 08:35, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
- Your POV is clouding your judgment. You are excluding the WWII mayors from the numbering because they were allegedly "Italian occupiers". That argument is not particularly sound, but it is also not even accurate in this case, as the majority of those men were NOP's mayors: see Slobodna Dalmacija article for list.--Thewanderer (talk) 15:00, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
- Hm, fascinating choice of words. I'm not calling the mayors "occupiers", and I'm not "alleging" anything. I'm simply stating that Split was occupied by the Italians (1941-1943) and Germans (1943-1945) during WWII. These persons were installed (directly or indirectly) to govern Split on the behalf of the invaders. The NOP mayors, on the other hand, are appointed wartime officials of the recognized Yugoslav state (DFY). --DIREKTOR (TALK) 15:38, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I checked with my own stuff. What an oversight on my part, from my table one gets the idea Tijardović was a fascist or something :P. To be frank I feel pretty low right now. Thanks for pointing this out, Wanderer... --DIREKTOR (TALK) 15:47, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm. The list of mayors seems to be a copy of the list on this forum, which was posted about a month before you created the article. Unless you are user zuni9 on that forum, you appear to be lying to me (It took me quite a while to compile it from various different sources I have at home). Anyways, this user zuni9 (whether that is actually you or not) says this:
- Budući da je lista nepotpuna, a ponegdje (moguće) i neprecizna, molim one koji raspolažu s detaljnijim podacima da unesu ispravke. Također, u nemogućnosti konzultiranja kvalitetnijh i detaljnijih izvora, moguće su greške kod razdvajanja načelnikovanja po epohama.
- Therefore, we have a list on Wikipedia right now that has no sources, and is apparently based off a list on some forum which is admittedly imprecise and incomplete.--Thewanderer (talk) 16:37, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
- Wanderer, I'm shocked :), I did not lie to you. That is my list - but Wiki isn't the first place I posted it on. I'm not "Zuni9", I do not even recall knowing the fellow, and I would not be concerned with his/her opinions on its veracity (lOl). What I am interested in is your "investigation" and your constant accusations, and all the while you're adding nonsense such as your complete bull about the "democratic" elections. I happen to be on holiday enjoying some time off, so you'll forgive me if I do not immediately do whatever you tell me to. Signing off. --DIREKTOR (TALK) 16:45, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not telling you to do anything. Only trying to follow Wikipedia policies. You claimed that your original research is accurate. I proved that it wasn't, and you have conceded as much. I am asking you to provide sources, which you have not yet done. Yet you are still insisting on your unreferenced mayoral numbering in the meantime. As for this funny little Zuni9 issue, I'm just trying to demonstrate that it doesn't matter whether it's your list or not. Regardless it requires referencing. Wikipedia does not require me to trust your personal opinions, only the references you can cite.--Thewanderer (talk) 21:06, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
