Wikipedia Standards

[edit]

Why are virtually none of these entries conforming to Wikipedia standards? How hard is it to implement proper dating procedures and box it so it can be used as part of the database?

This article requires a lot of cleanup... Stevenmitchell 15:36, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

sect subsect tree

[edit]

I have added collapsable sect-subsect tree in Denomination Section, based on reference book which is cited and also looked some books on Google Books to improve it. Please make suggestions and improve it further. --Nizil (talk) 07:11, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress

[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Māllīnātha which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 05:13, 1 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Merge

[edit]

I propose to merge Śvētāmbara Terapanth into this article, since there is not enough content there. Capankajsmilyo (talk) 10:16, 13 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose on the grounds that a religious sect with a 200 year history is likely to be independently notable. I therefore suggest improving rather than merging. Klbrain (talk) 06:17, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Further

[edit]

Sthānakavāsī be merged for the reason as stated above. Capankajsmilyo(Talk | Infobox assistance) 15:13, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Should be śvetāmbara

[edit]

Not sure where the ē came from, which is enshrined in the article title. In Sanskrit it is śvetāmbara not śvētāmbara. There is no letter represented by ē in sanskrit. https://sanskritdictionary.com/scans/?col=1&img=mw1107.jpg If this were supposed to be Prakrit it would be spelled completely differently as well (no conjoint consonants like 'mb').  Done, you could also have moved the page yourself or formally requested a move. — kashmīrī TALK 11:50, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
