[edit]

Please correct my poor English. Thank you! H.

I did some minor cleanup. If you have the references mentioned and could either update the article with the points where the citations are used, or give me some idea about which sentences refer to which references I'd be happy to help. Any idea where we could get a picture? Arthurrh 18:56, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately I have no picture with clear copyright or copyright allowing to publish it here (rare gun, only a few prototypes were made, little chance to make own foto - some time ago I have opportunity to buy the rifle - but for about $100 000, too expensive :-) I've asked CZ Uhersky Brod for a picture, but haven't got it - at least by now). All information - introduction, short description, table data - are from source #2 - the book by Popelinsky (only note about new rifle is based on info from Czech magazine and news, as I mentioned, it might be a rumour only). Information about the rifle is also in the book Military Small Arms by Hogg & Weeks, but sometimes inaccurate - e.g. about accepting M16 magazines - this feature was only projected on paper but no prototype able to accept M16 mags was made due to redesign costs. Another information source might be Encyclopedia of Army Rifles by Hartink (not sure by exact book name, I have only Czech translation of this book). Hartink thinks that LADA and CZ 2000 are different weapons (they differ only by calibre, magazines and sights), anyway there are nice photos of the rifle. H.
