Yop! Proofreading your translation right now, I'm listing my comments below. Please note that I am not a native speaker!

  • "As a grande école, admissions is by a competitive examination." Seems a bit awkward to me, plural / singular, etc. On "AgroParisTech" this formulation is used : "A very selective admission process through which students are either admitted by a nationwide entrance exam (notably after two or three years of “prépas”)...". What do you think of As a grande école, students are admitted through a nationwide competitive examination?
  • I have some trouble with the History part.
    • For one, I wouldn't use operation campus, but Plan campus (fr), because I highly doubt the average English-speaking WikiUser knows about it (I barely know what it is and I am in a grande école...). Or make clearer that the (2) is a link to an explanation of what it is. Or, better, use Operation campus, which will display a red link, and then translate the French article :D
    • These two schools were the foundation of Ense3 sounds a bit wrong. Wouldn't founder schools be better?
  • The mascot is 'Orme', whereas in the fr article it is 'polar bear'

That's all I see for the moment! Keep the good work! :D

You're welcome to edit it, Thouny. This is a free translation and the translator hasn't done the editing yet. I want to create a backlog of translated articles, about 5, before going on that in order not to re-invent the wheel in getting the lay of the wikipedia atmosphere. I hope you do understand. Thanks. Your notices on 'orme' etc will be looked into soonest, maybe tomorrow sunday. Emekadavid (talk) 22:43, 18 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Copyedit complete

[edit]

@Emekadavid: I completed the copyedit of this article. It is, however, still at some risk of deletion due to a lack of inline citations to reliable secondary sources, although in general, all colleges and universities are notable and should be included on Wikipedia (see Wikipedia:College and university article guidelines). Sources unfortunately also aren't available in the article's French version and might require some research to find. - tucoxn\talk 21:55, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

thanks. I sent an email on your talk page. Will respond appropriately when I receive a response. Emekadavid (talk) 22:31, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Please see my response on my talk page. I'd prefer to keep the discussion in one location. You pick. Thanks! - tucoxn\talk 23:02, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
