Name (both Portuguese and Chinese)

Was the name Alvaro or Alvarez? The latter appeared on the cover of the 1655 English translation of his book "The history of the great and renowned Monarchy of China", as linked to in the article.

Also, the characters of his 2nd Chinese name appears to have been 曾德昭 rather than 曾德照, according to Chinese sources available on the Internet. I'm not an expert in history and I expect someone could shed light on this. Frigoris (talk) 14:52, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
