To-do

[edit]

I've done an initial translation cleanup, but the article still needs some more work. Particular things that I'm seeing:

  • Needs a more thorough pass to remove duplication and organize it better. For example, Thomas Somerscales gets mentioned three or four times throughout the article, that could probably be condensed into one section.
  • Some parts don't make sense (even looking at the original Spanish version of the article), like the mention of four phases of his art that then only lists two, maybe three styles.
  • Needs a lot more sources.
  • The phrase "official salon" was in there, I guessed "official hall" as a better translation but I'm guessing there's an idiomatic meaning that I don't understand.
  • It's late, so I'm not going to go digging through the manual of style, but I'm not sure whether the exhibitions should be rendered in the original language or translated. Left them as-is (untranslated).
  • Speaking of the manual of style, also not sure of the correct format for describing paintings. Left as-is as well.
