The men's 200 metre backstroke competition of the swimming events at the 1999 Pan American Games took place on 4 August at the Pan Am Pool.[1] The last Pan American Games champion was Brad Bridgewater of US.[2][3][4][5][6][7]
This race consisted of four lengths of the pool, all in backstroke.[8]
