Sugley is an area of Newcastle upon Tyne adjacent to Lemington in the county of Tyne and Wear, England:[1] its parish church[2] is Holy Saviour,[3] Sugley.[4]
History
[edit]Sugley was formerly a township in the parish of Newburn,[5] in 1866 Sugley became a separate civil parish, on 1 April 1935 the parish was abolished and merged with Newburn.[6] In 1931 the parish had a population of 1769.[7]
