History
[edit]20th century
[edit]Stimson Hall, built in 1902, was the first building completed on the Cornell University campus in the 20th century. It was a gift of Henry Williams Sage,[2] and was named after Lewis A. Stimson, M.D. LL. D., who wrote the charter of Cornell's Medical College.[3] It originally housed the Ithaca Division of the Cornell University Medical College.[2] It was designed by the architect William Henry Miller.[2]
