St. Francis Institute of Technology (SFIT) in Mumbai, India, is an engineering college named after Francis of Assisi, the 12th-century Italian saint. The college is accredited by the ISO[2] and the National Board of Accreditation,[3] approved by the AICTE, and affiliated[4] with the University of Mumbai.

The college is managed by the Society of Franciscan Brothers,[5] with special consideration given to Roman Catholic students. It offers undergraduate, post-graduate, and doctoral courses in engineering. It is the first Catholic Technical Institute in India to acquire 'minority status.'

Invocation

[edit]
Francis of Assisi, the namesake of the college

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.

Let me sow love where there is hatred. Where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; there is hope where there is despair. Where there is darkness, there is light; there is joy where there is sadness.

O Divine Master, grant that I do not seek to be consoled as much as I seek to console; to be understood as much as I seek to understand; and to be loved as much as I seek to love. It is in giving that we receive. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.

And it is in dying that we are borned to eternal life.

Make Me an Instrument of Your Peace
