Solomon Dacres is a British professional boxer who held the English heavyweight title from 18 March 2023 to 7 December 2024.
Career
[edit]Dacres turned pro with an amateur record of 35–10[2] and made his debut on 15 May 2021 at Manchester Arena, comfortably winning on points against Mladen Manev over six rounds.[3]
He won the vacant English heavyweight title with a second round stoppage win over Robert Ismay at Newcastle Arena on 18 March 2023.[4] Dacres retained his title thanks to a majority decision victory against Michael Webster at Manchester Arena on 18 November 2023[5] before securing a seventh-round knockout success when the pair met for a rematch on 20 July 2024 at Resorts World Arena in Birmingham.[6]
Dacres lost his title to David Adeleye when he was stopped in the first round of their fight at Wembley Arena in London on 7 December 2024.[7][8]
