Scrobicularia is a genus of bivalve mollusc belonging to the family Semelidae.[2][3] It is sometimes placed in its own family, Scrobicularidae.[1][4]

There are two recognised species:[2]

However, ITIS only recognizes Scrobicularia caduca.[5] There are also names with uncertain status:[2]

  • Scrobicularia ceylonica E. A. Smith, 1896taxon inquirendum
  • Scrobicularia caduca Gould, 1861nomen dubium
  • Scrobicularia rubiginosa (Poli, 1795) – nomen dubium
