Scaphochlamys argentea is a monocotyledonous plant species described by Rosemary Margaret Smith.[1] Scaphochlamys argentea is part of the genus Scaphochlamys and the family Zingiberaceae.[2][3] No subspecies are listed in the Catalog of Life.[2]
