Sarlanagar is a small industrial town near Maihar in the Satna district of Madhya Pradesh, India. Its residents are primarily employees of Maihar Cement. The town is named after Smt. Sarla Birla, wife of Shri B.K. Birla, who owns the B.K. Birla Group of companies which includes Maihar Cement.

The town is divided into three sections:

  • Staff Colony, where the Maihar Cement staff reside.
  • Workers Colony (Hanthikund Colony), also known as Bank Colony, is a branch of UCO Bank branch.
  • Mines Colony is home to the employees of the Mines Division.

Education

The school has two branches, divided into Hindi Medium and English Medium.

Sarla Higher Secondary School is a co-educational school in Madhya Pradesh. It is affiliated with the CBSE Board, AJMER.
